Plasmalite FPL: the long-term solution for unwanted hair

Permanent hair removal with light
With Plasmalite, the only system applying patented fluorescent technology

What is Plasmalite?
The patented fluorescent technology is a further development of the Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) technology. Both types of technology process entire light waves. However, Plasmalite turns inefficient wave lengths into usable energy, applying a patented fluorescent filter. Using the same principle, unwanted wave lengths are completely turned off. Plasmalite offers you a more effective result and a treatment which is highly gentle to your skin. (Due to the patented filter, all harmful rays are removed and turned into red light; no risks and long-term effects are known.)

This technology is based on the use of entire light waves. Thanks to the patented filter, unwanted waves will be absorbed and converted. With this procedure, the desired increase in energy quantity, which is necessary for a successful treatment, is achieved – making the Plasmalite device the most efficient treatment system available on the market.

How does Plasmalite work and how is the treatment carried out?
The pigment melanin is a component of skin and hair. However, melanin contents of hair are higher than those of the skin, and hair therefore absorbs more red light. Plasmalite treatment uses red light with wave lengths between 535nm and 920nm. After each impulse, intense light penetrates the skin and is conducted along the hair shaft into the hair root and the hair follicle. There, the dark colour of the hair (melanin) absorbs the light and transforms it into heat: the temperature in the hair shaft increases. During a successful treatment, the temperature in the hair roots and hair follicles will reach approx. 70°; reproductive cells in the hair follicles which are responsible for hair growth as well as hair in the growth phase will be destroyed, without damaging the skin or leaving scars.

Which parts of the skin can be treated?
Plasmalite can be used on any part of the body and for any skin type, most frequently for: bikini line, arm pit, face, legs, arms, back and breast.

Is the treatment painless?
Not quite. The sensitivity to pain varies, but the majority notice a light twinge or prick, comparative to a slight burning sensation. However, this is not too painful; the pain level remains acceptable. In any case, before each treatment, a cooling gel will be applied, and the light conductor will be continuously cooled during the treatment.
